PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Incorporated Village of Sands Point will convene to hold a public hearing on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 26 Tibbits Lane Sands Point, NY 11050 on the following application(s): 

 

New Case(s):

1)     Application of Andrew and Lori Skor for Variances pursuant to Chapter 176 of the Code of the Village of Sands Point, specifically: (i) Section 176-10(A) to alter a Building to accommodate one Family on a lot that is less than 87,120 square feet (two acres) in area. (Lot is 63,094 square feet or 1.44 acres in area); (ii) Section 176-13(A)(1) to exceed the required front yard sky exposure plane from a point on the north side by 4.4’; (iii) Section 176-13(A)(2) to add a second story addition that exacerbates an existing nonconformity. Existing side yard setback is 24.2 where a minimum of 40’ is required and to exceed the side yard sky exposure plane from a point on the east side by 16.4’ on property owned by it in Residence A District and located at 140 Harbor Acres Road, Sands Point, New York 11050, also known as Section 5, Block 77, Lots 724 on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map. 


The application(s), plan(s), and specification(s) are on file at the Office of the Village Clerk, 26 Tibbits Lane, Sands Point.  At said time and place of Hearing as aforesaid stated all persons who wish to be heard will be heard.
