Exciting Updates for The Village Club

Dear Village Residents--just sharing a message that was sent to Village Club Members this past Tuesday.

Dear Members,

As we look forward to the upcoming season, we are excited about the future of our club. Over the past five years, The Village Club has experienced steady growth, and today we are proud to serve more residents and members than ever before.

Throughout this growth, the Village of Sands Point, led by the Board of Trustees, Mayor Forman, and Matt Engel along with the Village Club Committee, has remained committed to investing in, revitalizing, and enhancing our club’s sports and dining facilities and overall amenity offerings to elevate the member experience. That commitment continues into 2025 as we actively plan a renovation of the Grille. 

GRILLE RENOVATION: We are excited to announce that we have engaged a highly-respected, local architect with extensive experience in club and restaurant renovations, as well as extensive work in the Village.  We have been reviewing exciting plans for the renovation which will transform the space into a much improved and more modern dining experience for all of our members.  While the full scope has not been finalized, we expect the end-product to have several highlights including a more distinct separation between the indoor dining room and an expanded bar section.  The Grille will have expanded bathroom facilities and entirely new dining room finishes, flooring, ceiling and furnishings.  The project is expected to also include an outdoor bar facility with a phased plan for future expansion in outdoor seating and potentially firepit seating.  The project is moving forward and we are hopeful to start as soon as feasible.  At that time, we will create a plan for temporary service depending on the time of year and the length of the project.  We believe the result will be a facility we can all be proud of and will enjoy for a long period of time.

BANQUET AND OTHER PRIVATE EVENTS: After a longer review period than anticipated, we are pleased to announce the reopening of private events at the Mansion. This review allowed us to assess the building, refine the types of events we will offer to host, and evaluate our cost structure to ensure appropriate pricing. We apologize for the extended period of closure for event offerings but are thrilled to reopen this offering so members can share their most special moments with the Village Club of Sands Point.
