Dear Residents of Cornwells Beach Rd,

The Village will be making one more attempt to improve drainage issues on Cornwells Beach Rd.

We will install an additional 4 to 5 dry wells and catch basins (dry wells are 10’ diameter by 12’ deep each) at both the middle and each hilltop section of CBR.  These are at locations selected by the Village Engineer for effectiveness.

Please note, we are also getting significant runoff to the streets from individual properties and may need to consider requiring some property owners to install more dry wells or other drainage methods on their properties.  Under Village law, property owners are obligated to control their runoff.

We expect work to begin sometime in July.

Regards to all,

Supt Christian DiMartino, Public Works

Mayor Peter Forman
